The Dunmore Harbor Island Bahamas

Harbor island is a small little island in the Bahamas. It's very quaint and perfect for those that just want to relax. No big bars and discos here. The beaches are beautiful.

We stayed at the Dunmore.

Pros:
Beautiful property
Beach amazing
Friendly staff
Easy to get to town
Relaxing beach decor

Cons:
Needs upkeep
Rooms a bit small although nice
Restaurants hit or miss
Definitely could be cleaner

Banyan Tree Mayakoba Playa Del Carmen

Pros
Friendly staff
Large heated plunge pools
Nice breakfast buffet
Nice gym
Boat tour is fun

Cons
Beach: very encumbered view with cement blocks
Rooms small for the pricing
No Mexican food (I realize this is an Asian chain -/ but it's in Mexico!)
Spa very lacking they price for 95 minute service but give you a 60 minute treatment and then drop you off in a small room for tea (awful)
Restaurants some good some not good at all (make reservations even if it looks empty)

I've been to all the hotels in the Mayakoba, this was my least favorite. I think they for the price it should be better. Rosewood gets my vote. For 1000 a day I expect better.
